Benediction
The Spirit of Christ in You
The Father has spoken. The Son has come.
The Spirit has been given.
And here you stand — loved by the Father, redeemed by the Son, filled with the Spirit.
The same Spirit who hovered over the waters at creation — the same Spirit who descended on Jesus at His baptism — the same Spirit who led Him into the wilderness, strengthened Him in the garden,
sustained Him at the cross,
and raised Him from the grave — is now in you.
You are not left to figure this out on your own.
You are not powerless against sin.
You are not abandoned in the struggle.
The Spirit who empowered Jesus to live holy, humble, and victorious is the Spirit who empowers you now.
So take heart. Walk boldly. Live fully.
Not because you are strong —
but because the Spirit of Christ lives in you.
And until the final garden blooms — until we see Him face to face —
keep in step with the Spirit,
glorify the Son,
and rest in the love of the Father.
“Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.” (Ephesians 3:20–21)
